Thursday's matchup between the 76ers and Jazz features two teams sliding down the standings.

Philadelphia has lost four consecutive games, but the biggest concern for the 76ers is the health of Joel Embiid. The All-Star center left Tuesday night's loss to the Warriors with another knee injury and didn't return. Embiid has already been ruled out for this game after he had missed the previous two games with knee soreness.

The Sixers could also be without Tyrese Maxey, who has missed the past three games with an ankle injury. Maxey is averaging a career-high 25.7 points and 6.6 assists per game this season.

The Jazz, meanwhile, lost to the Nets and Knicks in consecutive games this week in depressing fashion — a 33-point loss to Brooklyn on Monday and a 15-point loss to New York on Tuesday. Utah has dropped five of its last seven games following a six-game winning streak in early January.

The Jazz beat the 76ers the first time these two teams faced off on Jan. 6. Utah won that matchup, 120-109, in another game in which Embiid wasn't available. Lauri Markkanen scored 33 points for the Jazz in the victory, while Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr. combined to score 49 points for the 76ers.
