The 76ers will spend their Christmas Day in South Beach, where they will face off against the Heat.

The Sixers are battling closely with the Celtics and Bucks at the top of the Eastern Conference standings. They are one of five teams in the NBA with at least 20 wins at this point in the season, joining the Bucks, Celtics, Nuggets and Timberwolves.

The Heat, on the other hand, are fighting to stay out of the Play-In Tournament, holding onto the No. 5 seed. The loss of Tyler Herro has hampered them, but Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler have picked up the slack.

Despite the current records of each squad, Miami will enter this matchup as the betting favorite because of an injury to Philadelphia's most important player. MVP candidate Joel Embiid has been ruled out with a sprained right ankle, leaving a massive hole in the Sixers' frontcourt rotation.
