The Minnesota Timberwolves have a complicated history. Its one rooted in two things: failure and Kevin Garnett. The two are not mutually exclusive but the former is why the latter requested a trade that sent him to the Boston Celtics.
It's also why the team and Garnett have a tumultuous relationship. That has made things difficult for the team to retire Garnett's number, as he strongly dislikes current majority owner Glen Taylor. Even with that, Garnett has still made the occasional appearance at Target Center.
ESPN's Kendrick Perkins believes that Garnett is set to make another appearance at Target Center for game five of the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks

That would be massive for the Timberwolves as they try to become the first team in NBA history to win a playoff series after being down 3-0. Garnett made an appearance during the playoff a couple years ago and his presence would make Target Center an electric atmosphere.
