The Los Angeles Lakers are seeking to acquire star talent this offseason, partially catering to the desires of superstar LeBron James.

A reported list of three names emerged as players James would take a pay cut to play alongside: Klay Thompson, James Harden, and Jonas Valanciunas. With Harden off the table, ESPN's Brian Windhorst sees free agent DeMar DeRozan as a star on the list.

"I think there's more than three," Windhorst shared on the Hoop Collective Podcast. "I think DeMar DeRozan is on that list as well. And there may be another one or so."

While the Lakers' offer would come at a cheaper price than other teams, DeRozan's interest in playing for his hometown organization could sway him. The veteran forward averaged 24 points and 5.3 assists on 48% shooting last season, proving his performance is sustainable even at 34 years old. The blossoming 3-point shot of James eases the concern of a lack of spacing, paving the way for the Chicago Bulls forward to join forces with him and Anthony Davis.
