It will take some getting used to, but Klay Thompson will wear a new uniform next season. For the first time in their NBA careers the splash brothers will not take the court together.

Thompson signed with the Dallas Mavericks this offseason and is already enjoying his time with his new teammates. While in Los Angeles for offseason training, the sharpshooter was spotted jumping off a boat into the water via Mavericks guard Quentin Grimes' Instagram story.

"Whether you play basketball or work in the corporate world or whatever industry, sometimes change can spur greatness, and a new change of scenery can do wonders," said Thompson at his introductory press conference.

The four-time champion appears to be settling in a nicely to the change of scenery. He will always cherish his time in Golden State but is making the best of his new situation.

"I am very grateful for my time at Golden State, but I just felt like moving on could reenergize me and do something special for the rest of my career," said Thompson.

It is unclear how many other roster members were with Thompson and Grimes on the boat in LA, but a number of other voices can be heard cheering on their new shooting guard in the background of the video.

Thompson is the type of player who can adapt and fit on any roster, and the Mavericks are lucky to have him. His laid-back, no-nonsense personality will mesh well with the culture created during the team's run to the NBA Finals last year.
