Former NBA champion and current NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins went on First Take today and criticized Team USA coach Steve Kerr about Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum. Perkins was upset about how Tatum got no playing time in the win against Serbia.

“Jayson Tatum is a versatile player…whatever you want him to play, he’s 6 '9 with a versatile package on both ends of the floor,” said Perkins. “The last time Team USA won the gold, Kevin Durant was the best player, you know who was the second best player? It was Jayson Tatum.”

Perkins finished his rant talking about how Kerr spoke on Tatum’s accolades, yet did not play him. "You know what Jayson Tatum is going to bring to the table. You do not disrespect him and embarrass him the way that you did.” Perkins cited social media as the reason why this is embarrassing for tatum, as now Tatum’s haters will bash him on social media for not playing.

According to Kerr, Tatum will see the floor against South Sudan on July 31st at 3pm EST.
