The Boston Celtics are setting up a potential dynasty, after extending forward Sam Hauser for another four years, making him the seventh player on the Celtics roster under contract until 2026 and beyond. Payton Pritchard is under contract until 2027, Jrue Holiday, Jaylen Brown, and Derrick White are also under contract until 2028. Celtics centerpiece Jayson Tatum is under contract until 2029, and big man Kristaps Porzingis is under lock and key until 2026. Al Horford, the oldest member of the team and the current sixth man, will probably retire a Celtic as well.
This past championship the Celtics won was based on the efforts of these players, the core of the Celtics roster. If the Celtics can find a way to keep the band together, they may form a potential dynasty, similar to predecessors like the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat in the 2010s, and Los Angeles Lakers in the 2000s.
The only thing this team must be wary about is the new salary cap rules, as the owners of the Celtics must be willing to shell out a lot of money to keep this team together, otherwise the team may be broken up before it reaches its potential.
