The Atlanta Hawks backcourt could see a complete reset by the start of next season, with guards Trae Young and Dejounte Murray heavily involved in trade rumors.
It's reported that Young, who is widely considered the more valuable of the two, views three destinations as appealing: the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, and San Antonio Spurs. The report comes from league sources, according to Yahoo Sports' Jake Fischer.
With the Lakers constantly searching for a third star to pair alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, it would come as a shock if the front office didn't entertain a potential trade. Young would add a sparkplug to LA's offense as a sometimes streaky yet explosive scorer.
Their package would undoubtedly have to include guard Austin Reaves and valuable draft capital, but it could be worth it to keep their current stars happy. Not to mention, recently announced coach JJ Redick wouldn't complain about the acquisition, as Young torched Redick during his tenure with the Philadelphia 76ers, recording 32 points and 11 assists in a two-point victory.
