This week's answer to "What time is the NASCAR race today?" was initially different than the responses that were given for the first seven races of the Cup Series season. Now it's very similar. We'll explain.
The weekend race at Martinsville Speedway, the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500, began as the first night race of the 2021 campaign on Saturday. Rain forced NASCAR to postpone the event after 42 of 500 laps and will resume the race Sunday afternoon.
Night racing is a recent phenomenon at Martinsville. Track operators installed permanent lights in 2017 and the first Cup Series nighttime race at the facility was run last June. Martin Truex Jr. won it.
Below is all you need to know about the schedule for Sunday's resumption of the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville.
