Looking for one thing that encapsulates the new world we enter as the results of Tuesday's presidential election? Consider this Twitter post from Danica Patrick.
Was a crazy night! I look forward to @realDonaldTrump #MakeAmericaGreatAgain! Don't we all want America to be great?! Stay positive Mercia!

It's not so much what Patrick wrote. It's the outpouring of responses positive and negative to Patrick's comment.
Patrick is among NASCAR's most popular drivers, and is among the top 10 in balloting under way for this season. Normally Patrick runs close behind Dale Earnhardt Jr., who won the popularity the past 13 years.

NASCAR personalities' support for Trump is nothing new. Before the election, czar Brian France offered his support. So did Richard Petty, the sports' most legendary driver. Chase Elliott and dad Bill were at a March rally in Georgia for Trump. Also there were Ryan Newman and David Ragan.
There was a Sprint Cup car emblazoned with Trump's name at Texas. A Truck Series entry had Trump sponsorship at Talladega.
NASCAR is a microcosm for America, and followers of social media realize the stock's hard-core base was not enamored of the state of the country or Trump alternatives.

Watching media scrambling for answers as to how people have voted without listening to them and their polls is pretty amusing. 👏
