According to media reports, the trailer caught fire on Interstate 20 near Longview, Texas. Occupants of the truck tractor were able to stop and unhitch the trailer.
There was no immediate determination of the fire's cause. Neither car carried fuel. The only gasoline in the trailer was in a generator.
It was the second mishap involving a NASCAR hauler in as many days. On Wednesday, a Richard Petter Motorsports vehicle was involved in a crash in Louisiana.
