NASCAR at Kentucky qualifying canceled due to rain image

NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series heads to Kentucky this weekend for a race under a new rules package that is expected to decrease speeds and put more control of the car in the hands of the driver, not the engineers in the shop. NASCAR felt drivers needed more time to practice with the new rules, so qualifying was canceled.

Qualifying for Saturday's Sprint Cup race at Kentucky, the Quaker State 400, was scheduled for 5:45 p.m. ET on Friday from Kentucky Speedway, but was canceled due to rain.
