Veteran NASCAR driver Mike Wallace allegedly attacked, beaten after concert image

Veteran NASCAR driver Mike Wallace was hospitalized Friday night after he was allegedly assaulted by three men following a Rascal Flatts concert in Charlotte. 

Wallace and his daughter, Lindsay, were leaving the concert at PNC Pavilion when they were attacked, according to the social media accounts of Mike Wallace and his brother, FOX analyst and driver Kenny Wallace.

Mike Wallace, 57, was kicked repeatedly in the head while unconscious, Kenny Wallace told FOXSports.com. In addition, his daughter was kicked in the ribs multiple times as she tried to protect her father. 

According to Motorsport.com, three men were arrested and charged with assault.

Mike Wallace, the brother of NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace, has 197 starts in the Sprint Cup Series over his career. He has 494 Xfinity starts with four wins and 115 Truck series starts with five wins. He last raced in 2015.
