The 3:30 p.m. ET start time for Sunday's Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas is the first of three consecutive such start times as NASCAR's Cup Series completes its early-season West Coast swing. Next week's race at Auto Club Speedway also will start at 3:30 p.m. ET, as will the March 8 race at Phoenix Raceway. As for the TV channel, the NASCAR Cup Series returns to Fox after last week's Daytona 500. As part of Fox's TV deal with NASCAR for the 2019 season, Fox is slated to show nine Cup races this year, and FS1 is scheduled to show eight, including the All-Star Race in May.
Sunday's Pennzoil 400, which will consist of three stages (80 laps, 80 laps, 107 laps), is the second race on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a wide, 1.5-mile oval that has featured progressive banking in the turns since 2006. The Cup Series has raced at Las Vegas since 1998.

Anybody who has a cable or satellite subscription can stream Sunday's Las Vegas race live via Fox Sports Go. This should be the preferred route for a viewer who has such a subscription but isn't able to get in front of his or her TV.
For those who don't have a cable or satellite subscription, there are five OTT TV streaming options that carry Fox — Sling, Hulu, YouTubeTV, fuboTV and AT&T Now. Of the five, Hulu, YouTubeTV and fuboTV offer free trial options.

Sunday's Cup race at Las Vegas can proceed in a manner of relief thanks to the health of Ryan Newman, who was released from Daytona Beach’s Halifax Medical Center on Wednesday. The driver of the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Mustang will not compete in this week's race as he continues to recover from his terrifying accident on the last lap of the Daytona 500.
“No one could ever take the place of Ryan Newman on the track and I can’t wait to have him back," said Ross Chastain, who will race Newman's car at Las Vegas. “As we continue to pray for a full and speedy recovery, I’ll do my best to make him and everyone at Roush Fenway Racing proud."

Team Penske's Joey Logano set a Las Vegas Motor Speedway race record (154.894 mph average) when he won last year's Pennzoil 400, and he again will be among the favorites at the track in 2020. The 2017 Cup Series champion boasts the best average finishing position (8.5) and the best average running position (9.162) among drivers in Sunday's field.
Logano has five top-five and nine top-10 finishes at Vegas; only Kevin Harvick (10 top 10s and seven top fives) has more. Logano also has never suffered a DNF in 13 starts at the track. He and Penske teammate Brad Keselowski have won three of the past six races at Las Vegas.
Only one driver (Jimmie Johnson, four) has more wins at Las Vegas than Keselowski (three), who finished second behind Logano in last year's Pennzoil 400.
