What a difference a year has made for Martin Truex Jr.
Joe Gibbs Racing's elder statesman had a disappointing 2022 campaign, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014. Truex led the circuit in stage wins, but Austin Dillon's last-second victory at Daytona in the final race of the regular season consigned him to that fate.

Some thought the 2017 Cup Series champion was on his last legs. He erased those thoughts early on before racing to a win at Dover in May. Since then, it has been smooth sailing for Truex, who has added two more victories to his shelf. The latest one was his most dominant: he led 254 of 301 laps last week at New Hampshire.
This week, the Cup Series is at Pocono for the HighPoint.com 400. Truex is more than familiar with the track, having raced there more than 30 times in his career. And given his run of form, he seems as good a bet as any to compete for the checkered flag once more.

Veteran broadcaster Rick Allen will lead NBC's coverage, serving as the race's lap-by-lap announcer. He'll be joined in the booth by Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte.
