Clint Bowyer picked up his second victory of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season Sunday in the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
The race was delayed and shortened because of rain. Originally slated to start at 2 p.m. ET, driving didn't begin for almost three more hours as efforts were made to dry the track.
MICHIGAN RESULTS: Bowyer leads 1-2-3 Stewart-Haas sweep
Anticipation built up toward the end of the second stage, which, if completed, would mark the race as official. Ryan Blaney won the first stage, and Kevin Harvick won the second as more rain started to come down. The race was called with 67 laps remaining. Since Bowyer was in the lead and the two required stages had passed, he was declared the winner.
It was Boyer's 10th career victory and first at Michigan International Speedway.
Harvick, who led for much of the race, finished second. Brothers Kurt and Kyle Busch finished third and fourth, respectively.
