Kevin Harvick won NASCAR's Sprint Cup in 2014, which should have made him a lock to win the ESPY for best driver. But since it's based on fan votes, Harvick was actively seeking support for the award on Twitter.
Over the last two weeks, Harvick either tweeted or retweeted another account asking fans to vote for him about eight times, and they came through for him. In 2014, he won five races, had six runner-up and 14 top-five finishes, and tops the Sprint Cup standings again this season.

But even on the slowest sports day of the year, Harvick couldn't remember to tune in to see if he won.
Forgot the @ESPYS were on last night but apparently we won! Thanks for all of the support! #coolaward

His excuse? A pretty good one, we suppose.
