Professional boxer Floyd Mayweather is already well-known for his business ventures, and one of them will be on center stage at the Daytona 500 Sunday.
The Money Team Racing, or TMT Racing, will be represented by the No. 50 car driven by Conor Daly. It was founded in 2022 and had a car in last year's Daytona 500, finishing in 26th place despite losing a wheel early in the race.
Mayweather and the team qualified for the 2023 Daytona 500 representing Chevrolet. Mayweather released a statement talking about the car and qualifying.
“The Money Team Racing shocked the world by making the Daytona 500 last year and I believe in this team and know we will prepare a great car for this year's race,” Mayweather said. “Like a fighter who’s always ready to face the best, Conor has the courage to buckle into this beast without any practice and put that car into the field. Conor is like a hungry fighter and my kind of guy. I sure wouldn’t bet against him.”

What is The Money Team Racing?
The Money Team Racing is a racing group founded in 2022 by boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
It runs the No. 50 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and was rumored for several years before eventually coming to fruition for the 2022 season.
It made its Cup Series debut in 2022 at the Daytona 500.
What is The Money Team Racing's best finish?
TMT finished four races last year, three with Kaz Grala and one with Conor Daly.
Grala finished 26th at the Daytona 500, 25th at the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix, and 23rd -- the best finish of the year -- at the Coca-Cola 600.
With Daly driving at the Bank of America Roval 400, TMT finished 34th.

Who is Conor Daly?
Daly, 31, took over for TMT's final race last season, and will be the driver at the Daytona 500 Sunday.
He detailed some of his history with Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports, including his past in IndyCar, Xfinity, and truck racing.
"I am an IndyCar Series driver..." he said. "...I've dabbled in a lot of other things. I've done an Xfinity race before, I rode America with Roush back in the day. Have raced two truck races with Niece Motorsports. And one Cup race with The Money Team in the 50 car last year at the Roval."

Daly is a Noblesville, Indiana native who's raced in the IndyCar Series since 2013. His Xfinity Series history dates back to 2018, when as he mentioned he raced with Roush.
Where is The Money Team starting in the Daytona 500?
Daly and The Money Team are set to start in the No. 34 spot at the Daytona 500 after finishing 16th in the Duels.
The No. 50 was the highest-finishing Open Car in Duel No. 2 to get that position.
Daly was a bit surprised to have finished so high given issues in the Duels.
"We were inherently unlucky for the last 36 hours, but we got lucky," Daly said, per the Associated Press. "I wish I could say I drove it in there on pure pace. It was just crazy. When we went out there, the car was bouncing around. I had no idea what was going on."
Despite the issues, Mayweather's No. 50 will be on the track in Daytona.
