Things got pretty hot for Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
Earnhardt was pitting on Lap 179 in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Duck Commander 500 when a small fire sparked in his pit stall. He pulled from the pit lane with fire under the left rear of his car.

The fire was caused by a lug nut sparking as it came off his tire, according to a report on the Fox broadcast.

Earnhardt didn’t seem to be affected by the incident as he held his position of third after the pit stop.
