The Coca-Cola 600, a yearly staple of the NASCAR Cup Series and a massive event on the Charlotte sports calendar, takes place Sunday, May 26 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. 

Originally known as the "World 600," the annual 600-mile race attracts hundreds of thousands of live spectators as well as millions of television viewers and radio listeners. It's widely considered the crown-jewel of NASCAR's loaded schedule.
