Kifaru: Experience will be key for Mtibwa in winning the FA Cup image

Mtibwa Sugar have issued a warning to the teams remaining in the Federation cup ahead of the semi-final ties.

The Morogoro based side who knocked out Azam on Saturday will play against Stand United while in another clash JKT Tanzania will be up against Singida United.

Speaking to Goal, Mtibwa Sugar spokesman, Thobias Kifaru said that they have a lot of experience compared to other teams remaining in the tournament, and it gives them a bigger chance to do well.

He said that they had aimed to finish the season by winning silverware and they think the Federation Cup represents a real chance to do so.

“We have a good team with a lot of experience compared to others, so I think this is our chance to win something this season,” said Kifaru.

The winner of the FA cup will automaticly be guaranteed a place in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

Mtibwa Sugar will however not be able to feature in the tournament because they were banned by CAF for three years after failing to show up in the second leg game of that tournament against Republic of South Africa’s Santos in 2004.
