Sergio Garcia couldn't hold back his frustration after completing his opening round of the U.S. Open on Thursday. He took to Twitter to slam the greens at Chambers Bay Golf Club.
Garcia, who posted an even-par 70 that included three bogeys and three birdies, claimed the U.S. Open "deserves better" than the greens served up in University Place, Wash., which looked patchy on the broadcast.

Garcia claimed they are just as bad to play on as they appear.
Happy with my Even par round today although it could've been a bit better by the way I played but this greens are as bad as the look on TV 😖

I think a championship of the caliber of @usopengolf deserves better quality green surfaces that we have this week but maybe I'm wrong!

If my problem is saying what everyone thinks but they don't have the guts to say it, then I'm guilty of that for sure

Some of you are taking what I said the wrong way! I'm trying to give credit to @usopengolf because this kind of championship DESERVES better

Garcia is just the latest golfer to voice his concern over the course; criticism poured in before the event even began. He probably won't be last, either, as the tournament enters the weekend.
