Sunday night UFC Fight Night comes to us from Pittsburgh with a welterweight contest between Donald Cerrone and Alex Oliveira. Both fighters are nicknamed Cowboy, but that’s pretty much where the similarities end.
Cerrone, who will be moving up from lightweight for this fight, clearly holds a huge class edge and is a -300 favorite with Oliveira getting about +230 as the underdog.
Cerrone was on a real roll, winning eight lightweight fights in a row before being finished in the first round in a title fight with current lightweight champion Rafeal dos Anjos. Cerrone has wins over top fighters like Eddie Alvarez, Benson Henderson and Jim Miller on his resume whereas one would hardly recognize any of Oliveira’s wins.

Oliveira does have a three-fight winning streak coming into Sunday night and remember, you can only beat whose in front of you that night. A third-round submission loss to Gilbert Burns in his first UFC fight before winning these three in a row can be a little deceiving. When going back and watching that fight, you can see Oliveira was winning the first two rounds but gassed a little before being submitted in the third.
Cerrone, who usually does bring a good overall game and has great cardio, could still be in a look ahead spot here and I’m not willing to lay a big price in that situation, especially when we don’t have a much to go on with Oliveira.
Pick: We're taking a shot with the dog Alex Oliveira to pull off a big upset and beat Donald Cerrone in the main event Sunday night at a nice +230 or higher by fight time.
