UFC 193 Rousey vs. Holm Live Updates:

Holly Holm def. Ronda Rousey via KO (Head Kick) at 0:59 of Round 2.

1:19 a.m. - It should also be noted that Ronda Rousey fought a horrible fight. She fought like she was invincible. Like Holly Holm was destined to lose. She was reckless with her strikes, doing so against a world-class striker. Rousey kept her chin up and her hands down, allowing Holm to tag her at will. Did the pressure get to Ronda Rousey? It's difficult to say, but Holm fought the perfect fight. With her style, a perfect fight from Holm would mean serious trouble for Rousey and that's exactly what happened.

1:11 a.m. - That was a picture-perfect performance from Holly Holm. She used footwork and angles to keep Ronda Rousey from grabbing ahold of her. For Holm to win, she needed to do exactly that. It helps that Holm fought off an armbar and was able to hold her own in the clinch.

1:02 a.m.- You just knew Crying Jordan would make an appearance.

12:58 a.m. - Here is the video of Holly Holm knocking out Ronda Rousey. soak it in.

12:52 a.m. - Holly Holm stuck to the gameplan and landed shot after shot. She stunned Ronda Rousey with a big shot, then followed up with a huge head kick. A few hammerfists later and it's all academic.

12:50 a.m. -  HOLLY HOLM HEAD KICK KNOCK OUT. NEW UFC CHAMPION. LOUD NOISES.

12:49 a.m. - Is this Rousey's gameplan? to bullrush Holm with her hands down and chin up? The champ is showing a great chin, but how long will that last?

12:48 a.m. - Ronda continues to rush forward. Her technique is reckless and wide open. Holm is landing straight shots with ease. Rousey is relentless in trying to get a hold of Holm, but the challenger is making sure to stay out of her reach.

12:47 a.m. - Holly Holm is landing serious leather. Ronda Rousey is showing a serious chin. They clinch, and Holm takes her down. Holm gets Rousey on her back and makes the smart decision in backing off and getting to her feet. The round ends. I'm giving it to Holm, but it could go either way.

12:45 a.m - Ronda Rousey gets Holly Holm up against the fence, but can't take her down. Holm lands a knee. Rousey is bleeding. They clinch, Holm takes down Rousey, who goes for an armbar, but Holm shakes her off. A great start for the challenger.

12:44 a.m. - Ronda Rousey is on the offense, chasing down Holly Holm. Holm is backpedaling, trying to create space. Holm tags her, Rousey tags her back.

12:43 a.m. - Fight begins at 12:43. Let's see how long it lasts

12:40 a.m. - Ronda Rousey is in the cage. Let's do this thing.

12:35 a.m. - Holly Holm is inside The Octagon. We're just a few minutes from GO TIME!

12:31 a.m - The wait is finally. It's time for Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm. All three SN writers predict a Ronda Rousey victory via armbar. Holly Holm can beat Ronda Rousey, but she better not make one of these mistakes.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk def. Valerie Letourneay via unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 50-45).

12:19 a.m. - In order for Ronda Rousey to once again have the fastest finish of the night, she will need to put Holly Hom away in under 2:56. Ronda Ronda Rousey has only seen the three-minute mark in three fights.

12:15 a.m. - Jedrzejczyk is doing major damage to Letourneau's lead leg. Or as Dave Doyle puts it ...

12:12 a.m. - OK, so Ronda Rousey probably won't fight until 12:30-ish. I was way off with my 11:45 p.m. prediction.

12:10 a.m. - Jedrzejczyk and Letourneau are headed to the championship rounds. J.J. is probably ahead on the cards 2-1.

11:55 p.m.  - Ronda Rousey gets all the acclaim, but Jedrzejczyk is an excellent champion. Her technical striking skills are beautiful to watch. But she got bullied around by Letourneau in the first round. She rebounded with a nice front kick to the face, but it could go 10-9 for the challenger.

11:46 p.m. - Both Jedrzejczyk and Letourneau chose spectacular entrance music. I wish I knew what songs they were. I think one is Polish, it may also be Missy Elliott. Maybe Polish Missy Elliott. Nonetheless, we can guarantee these selections will be better than that of Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. Both Rousey and Holm have traditional mediocre song choices.

11:42 p.m. - Time for the first of the two women's title fights. Before Ronda Rousey fights Holly Holm, Joanna Jedrzejczyk (10-0) defends her strawweight title against Valerie Letourneau (8-3) who is balancing life as a top contender and single mother.

Mark Hunt def. Antonio Silva via TKO at 3:41 of Round 1.

11:32 p.m. - Mark Hunt is the best.

11:29 p.m. - Mark Hunt throws a huge right with Silva retreating against the fence. Silva plummets to the canvas, ref steps in. Game over.

11:25 p.m - Time for Mark Hunt vs. Antonio Silva 2. Let's hope this one doesn't end in a draw. It looks like Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm will go down around 12:15 a.m. ET or so.

Robert Whittaker def. Uriah Hall vis unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).

11:09 p.m. - Whittaker should take the victory in an incredibly fun and action-packed fight. This was by far the best fight of Whittaker's career. Hall started slow, but tried pouring it on. Impressive performance by Whittaker. You can expect Ronda Rousey to collect a performance bonus at the end of the night, but Whittaker should take home some extra cash too.

11:03 p.m. - Hall landed a massive left high kick to the throat of Whittaker and Whittaker just shook it off. If Holly Holm lands one of those to Ronda Rousey, I'm not so sure she will do the same as Whittaker.

10:59 p.m. - First round belonged to Whittaker. He put on a brilliant display of striking and grappling. Second round starts off with more back and forth. Time is stopped for an accidental eye poke, but replay reveals Whittaker hit Hall with a closed fist. The fight should not have been paused. But alas, we continue.

10:49 p.m. - We're probably 90 minutes away from Ronda Rousey defending her UFC championship against Holly Holm. With the Ohio State Buckeyes on the road at Illinois, it's unlikely Cardale Jones live-tweets Ronda Rousey's fight. We can dream, though.

10:46 p.m. - Time for Australia's Robert Whittaker vs. Uriah Hall. This one could be special. That being said, this is Hall's third fight in 98 days.

Jared Rosholt def. Stefan Struve via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

10:41 p.m. - That reminds me, there's a democratic debate going on. We put together a list of people we want Ronda Rousey to beat up. There was a politician on there. It wasn't Donald Trump. We'd love Ronda Rousey to armbar all of politics.

10:39 p.m. - Jared Rosholt takes the unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) victory. Not exactly the best opening fight. Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm can't come soon enough.

10:31 p.m - I tend to agree with E. Casey Laydon on this one.

10:29 p.m. - Rosholt looks terrified on his feet. But when he closes the distance, he's been able to take down Struve with ease. Through two rounds, Rosholt should be up 20-18. More boo birds.

10:25 p.m. - Goldberg plugs the new EA Sports UFC game, which features Ronda Rousey on the cover. Apparently she's the first female lead on a global cover in EA Sports history. Alex Morgan was on the North American edition of FIFA 2016.

10:23 p.m. - Joe Rogan keeps mentioning how polite the crowd is. Does he forget that it's like 11 a.m. over there?

10:21 p.m. - And there's the first takedown of the fight. Rosholt was a three-time All-American at Oklahoma State.

10:20 p.m. - The boo birds are out early. Rosholt having issues getting past Struve's freakish reach.

10:03 p.m. - Stefan Struve vs. Jared Rosholt is up first. Struve's only losses have come to fighters who cemented themselves as top heavyweight contenders. Is Rosholt an elite heavyweight? I'm not sure. But his wrestling is top tier. Which is why I went with Rosholt in our predictions.

Fox Sports 1 Prelims:

10:02 p.m. - It's PPV time.

9:45 p.m. - The doctor calls a stop to the fight in between the second and third round. Arreola was bouncing back from a rough first round, but a nasty cut opened up, and the doctor wouldn't let him continue. Tough way to lose a fight, for sure.

9:31 p.m. - the last fight of the prelims features Akbarh (IT'S A TRAP!) Arreola vs. Jake Matthews. Arreola is looking to rebound off his loss to Francisco Trinaldo, which would bring his UFC record to 2-2. Matthews, a native of VIctoria, Australia, is hoping to bounce back form his first career loss, which came at the hands of James Vick at UFC Fight Night 65 in May.

9:26 p.m - Ronda Rousey arrives at Etihad Stadium. Anyone else find it odd that they're filming her getting out of her car like she's entering the cage?

9:22 p.m. - As Deadspin's Greg Howard points out, Holly Holm is absolutely legitimate yet stands no chance. I tend to agree, but I dunno. My issue with Holm is that she uses single strikes too much, which will leave her open to Ronda Rousey grabbing a hold of her. If Ronda Rousey gets a hold of her, the fight is effectively over. Holm will need to use combinations, get in and get out, create angles and move, move, move. Some may call it running, but it's her only option.

9:19 p.m. - NFL legend Jerry Rice is picking Ronda Rousey to win. There probably won't be too many people picking Holly Holm.

9:15 p.m. - Goldberg just teased a fight from the Fight Pass prelims. Still almost an hour until the PPV. We're probably looking at another three hours until Ronda Rousey fights Holly Holm.

9:12 p.m. - Noke landed a monstrous body kick to Sabotta, who crumples over. Noke finishes the job with some strike. Impressive stuff.

9:05 p.m. - Kyle Noke vs Peter Sabotta up next. The Australian Noke is a vastly underrated fighter. Should be a good one.

8:55 p.m. - Yet another Ronda Rousey commercial. We've already had at least five or six. She's everywhere now, in case you forgot.

8:53 p.m. - What are the chances the Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm fight lasts longer than the Villante/Perosh fight? The KO came at 2:533, so you know what we're working with.

8:44 p.m. -  Aaaand the fight is over. Perosh got blasted crisp right hook.

8:41 p.m. - Gian Villante and Anthony Perosh are up next. Perosh is a major fan-favorite.

8:07 p.m. - It's time for the next batch of UFC 193 prelims. We're still nearly four hours away from Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm stepping inside The Octagon, but the fights are starting to get good. first up is a flyweight match between Richie Vaculik and Danny Martinez.

UFC 193 Prelims:

7:49 p.m. - here is Holly Holm talking about the fight. She says she visualizes beating Ronda Rousey because that's the vision she has in her head. Wait. What?

7:41 p.m. - Also, we asked some current UFC fighters to give their main event predictions. Almost all of them chose Ronda Rousey. Carlos Condit, the No. 1 contender for the UFC welterweight title, thinks Holly Holm is going to spring the upset.

7:39 p.m. - I keep going back and forth on the main event. I think Holly Holm can beat Ronda Rousey. But she has to knock her out. I don't think her game is complete enough to go 25 minutes. I also think avoiding Ronda Rousey's armbar over 25 minutes is not an option. In our UFC 193 predicitons post, I went with a Ronda Rousey second-round armbar, but nothing will surprise me.

7:31 p.m. - Rich Walsh defeated Steven Kennedy by unanimous decision. This is really the only thing you need to know.

7:29 p.m. - They just played the Ronda Rousey hype commercial. here it is if you haven't seen it. It is cinematic beauty.

7:26  p.m. - Apparently Ryan Benoit, who lost to Ben Nguyen, was in the hospital yesterday because of hydration issues. That is not good, not good at all.

7:19 p.m. - In case you forgot, the Reebok fight gear is still awful. There isn't another individual sport on the planet in which all the competitors are forced by the organizing body to wear a specific uniform. It's ludicrous.

7:09 p.m. - I stil can't believe we've finally made it to this moment. I was out in Los Angeles for a Ronda Rousey media event two weeks ago, and I've never seen such a media circus in my entire life, and I've covered national championship games.

7:01 p.m. - The Etihad Stadium is absolutely cavernous. It almost looks like the Saitama Super Arena, only bigger.

6:56 p.m - Two prelim fights are in the books. Ben Ngyuen beat Ryan Benoit with a first-round rear naked choke and James Moontastri beat late replacement Anton Zafir with a beatufiul spinning backfist. Excellent way to start the night.

Here's the Moontasri finish. Yowza.

6:24 p.m. - Oh hey look, J.J. Watt is on #TeamRousey. J.J. Watt and Ronda Rousey were destined for each other. They are the king and queen of pageviews.

6:20 p.m. - The early prelims take place on UFC.com Fight Pass, before switching over to Fox Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET. The early prelims don't feature too many great fights, but thing will start to pick up when the FS1 prelims get started. But let's be frank, you're here because of Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm.

6:17 p.m. - Welcome to the UFC 193: Rousey vs. Holm live blog. I am your esteemed host Troy Machir.
