Skip Bayless will leave ESPN when his contract expires in August, the network announced Tuesday in a statement. His last appearance on "First Take" will be the day of the NBA Finals conclude in June.

Bayless has been with ESPN for 12 years and has hosted "First Take" — the network's outlandish debate show — with Stephen A. Smith since it was rebranded in 2007.
