Scary and strange moments on Day 1 at golf's Presidents Cup image

Day 1 of the Presidents Cup golf tournament was not without a frightening incident. Matt Kuchar of the United States drilled a tee shot let into the crowd and skulled a spectator.

Bradley's drive on the 14th hole, using a 3 wood, hit the fan standing along the rope line. As the video shows, it was not a pretty moment.

Reports indicated the spectator was all right despite his frightening moment in the spotlight.

There was a lighter note to the day: U.S. team assistant captain Davis Love III toured the course with a baby squirrel on his lap.

Love found the squirrel while tooling around the course, and it stayed on his lap as he drove his golf cart from hole to hole and tapped messages on his phone.

According to The Golf Channel, Love even took the infant squirrel into the team room during the day's long weather break. The critter apparently fell from a tree during the day.

That wasn't the end of the critter's day. Olympic ski champion Lindsey Vonn gave boyfriend Tiger Woods a brief scare when she put the squirrel on his back.

Keeping with the spirit of the day, Woods and partner Matt Kuchar. used a handshake from "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," and they used it a lot.

"That was definitely all me," Kuchar said. "That stems from 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.' I figured this guy was the perfect Carlton."
