GQ released its list of the "most stylish men in the world right now" on Monday, and two young athletes known for marching to the beat of their own drum made the cut.

Russell Westbrook and Odell Beckham Jr. are featured on the list, compiled by the GQ editorial board, who said this year's crop features "men who look just as sharp on the street as they do on the red carpet." Or, in the case of Westbrook and Beckham, at the press conference podium.

GQ credits Beckham for dressing "as flamboyantly as he plays" and illustrating his personality through hair and skin. Beckham has recently been associating himself with another GQ-endorsed stylish man: Drake. The Giants wide receiver, out of uniform, has donned looks both classic and experimental — including all-denim 'fits.

In an interview with GQ, Beckham said that his now famous hairstyle has been a progression of brightness.

"I decided to go blond heading into the NFL combine, and it just got blonder and blonder," he said. "The more fun I had, the blonder it got."

Beckham, between his hair and his tattoos, has a style all his own even when he's not wearing much of anything.

Russell Westbrook doesn't rock the blond locks, but his quirky style has turned heads since he entered the league. GQ politely calls Westbrook's wardrobe "precariously avant-garde," but they commend him for committing. Never go halfway, as they say.

Westbrook made GQ's list last year, as well. His commitment to fashion goes beyond what he wears; it's part of his brand. He partnered with Barneys on a line of clothing, after all. And he does deserve credit for entering a world of machismo and making his own image, his own brand of masculinity.

Because on the court, no one is questioning what lies beneath those weird shirts: one helluva heart and a motor no crop top can conceal.
