Ronda Rousey drops from UFC 193 conference call following question about boyfriend image

Ronda Rousey is one of the three most identifiable female athletes on the planet. Her stardom is unrivaled inside The Octagon. We are counting down the days in advance of her UFC women's bantamweight title fight against unbeaten Holly Holm at UFC 193 on Nov. 14 in Melbourne, Australia. It's the 30 Days of Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey joined Holly Holm, Joanna Jędrzejczyk and Vaerie Letourneau for the UFC 193 media conference call Thursday, but she didn't stay for long.

Early in the call, Rousey was asked about her relationship with Travis Browne becoming public. Rousey didn't respond to the question and her call was disconnected. She didn't return for the rest of the conference.

Here's the question: "Ronda, I know you're trying to focus and only speak about stuff that's happening inside the octagon, training and all that, but recently Travis Browne announced that you guys were in a relationship. Were you OK with him announcing that? Were you cool with that?" MMAFighting.com's Marc Raimondi asked.

There's no definitive proof that Rousey hung up because of the question (it could've just as likely been random technical difficulties), but it certainly looks that way. Rousey made it clear when the news originally broke that she doesn't like to talk about her personal life

"That's why it's called 'personal life,'" Rousey said in a statement to ESPN.

She also got terse with reporters Tuesday during a media event in Los Angeles when she was asked about comments her mother made toward coach Edmond Tarverdyan.

"Any reaction and response I have for my mother, she's going to hear from me and not a media outlet," Rousey said. "I really don't think that's anybody's business."

UFC 193 is almost two weeks away, but the media frenzy has already begun.
