Roger Federer claimed a straight-sets win over John Isner in the U.S. Open fourth round Monday.

The second-seeded Swiss secured just one of his 10 break points, yet still came away a 7-6 (7-0) 7-6 (8-6) 7-5 winner at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Federer dominated his opening three matches in New York and his shot-making was on show once again as he advanced without dropping a set.

This is Federer's fifth win in his past six meetings against Isner, as the 17-time grand slam champion had 55 winners and only 16 unforced errors in this matchup.

Federer will face Frenchman Richard Gasquet in the quarterfinals, in a half of the draw that's opened up after No. 3-seeded Andy Murray's shock loss to Kevin Anderson.
