Preakness 2016: Date, time, TV channel, odds for Nyquist image

Nyquist won the Kentucky Derby as the favorite, and will enter the 2016 Preakness Stakes as the top betting choice again this time. He'll try to setup a date with history at the Belmont by capturing the second leg of the Triple Crown.

The 2016 Preakness will be run Saturday, May 21 at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. It is the shortest of the three Triple Crown races at 1 3/16 miles and has a purse of $1.5 million. The pre-race favorites — American Pharoah in 2015 and California Chrome in 2014 — have won the last two Preakness Stakes.
