World No. 1 Jordan Spieth, who has played his past five tournaments in five different countries, was one shot off the lead Thursday before stormy weather halted the first round of the Singapore Open, Reuters reported.
With agent and manager Jay Danzi on his bag, Spieth carded a first-round 67 in stifling conditions at the Sentosa Golf Club.

Spieth's regular caddie, Michael Greller, was injured last week at Abu Dhabi and didn't make the trip to Southeast Asia.
A bogey-free 4-under-par round put Spieth, by far the headline act in an otherwise low-wattage field, a shot back of South African Keith Horne and American Berry Henson, who was on his 16th hole when play stopped.
"For the positions I was in off the tee, it was a little frustrating," a sweat-soaked Spieth told reporters after finishing his round at the height of the mid-day sun.
"From there I couldn't quite get it on the right tier (of the greens) or right distance, my distance control was just off trying to judge the wind, humidity and the heat. And so we just struggled a bit with that.
"I didn't get many looks (at birdie), I didn't get the ball inside 15-feet. I had plenty of opportunities to."
Spieth refused to blame his relative struggles on Danzi's work at the 2016 Asian Tour's opening event that carries a $1 million purse.
"I thought Jay stepped in extremely well. It's a tough place to caddie when you are not used to carrying the bag, what with the weather, but he took it like a champ," Spieth said.
"We have some rounds under our belt and we have played together a lot so its an easy one-week replacement while Michael is getting healthy."
