Joe Rogan says Dada 5000's heart was filled with ‘fried chicken and orange soda’ image

Bellator 149’s co-main event featuring Kimbo Slice and Dada 5000 (born Dhafir Harris) was bad — there’s no way around it. UFC commentator Joe Rogan called it “worst fight he’d ever seen” on Twitter and then took his criticism to a new level on his podcast.

Slice “knocked out” Harris in the third round after 10-plus minutes of lackluster fighting. Both fighters were clearly out of shape, but Harris had the tougher time and was rushed to the hospital. The notorious street fighter was in critical condition and went into cardiac arrest, according to multiple reports.

"Yeah, his heart stopped," Rogan said of Harris. "It was filled with cheeseburgers and fried chicken and orange soda. He didn't train. There was no way he trained. I mean, he might have trained for a couple of days. You should have lost 40 pounds before. It's not like you didn't know you were going to do this.”

In a statement released by Harris’ family, Harris had "extremely high levels of potassium in his blood, which led to severe dehydration, fatigue and renal failure."

Harris dropped 40 pounds to get to the 265-pound heavyweight maximum in order to fight, something his family said likely contributed to his condition Friday night.

"I don't think (Bellator) thought that was going to be as bad as it was," Rogan said in reference to the fight. "I don't think anybody would have anticipated those guys would have gassed like that. That was the worst gassing in the history of gassing. Dada just didn't have enough gas.

"I kind of get that (Harris) wants to fight legitimately and he's got to take that paycheck, but I just wish he had a real strength and conditioning coach or trainer. But we're here talking about him. He got that. He made some money."
