Holly Holm wants to get another fight under her championship belt before stepping into the ring for her rematch with Ronda Rousey.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the rematch between Holm and Rousey earlier this month, but Holm doesn't want to wait until July to fight again.

"Eight months is a long time between fights, and I don't want to wait that long," Holm said Saturday, via ESPN. "But if that's what it is, I'll do it and I'll be ready."
Holm handed Rousey her first career loss and remained undefeated at 10-0 with a knockout win during their bout at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia, on Nov. 13 to claim the women's bantamweight title. Despite her eagerness to get back in the ring, Holm agreed to cooperate with what the UFC has planned for her.

"I don't really like to lay out a path of what I think is best for me," Holm said. "I just like to take it as it comes. That's why I'm sitting here today. They gave me the fight with Ronda. A lot of people thought it was too early, and I just took the opportunity."
Rousey said before the fight that she planned to take time off, and UFC confirmed that by suspending her six months because of a head injury in her loss to Holm.
Rousey will likely get a second shot to beat Holm at UFC 200 in Las Vegas on July 9.
