Scoreboard panel falls into crowd, injures three at French Open image

More than 200 spectators had to be evacuated from the center court at Roland Garros Tuesday during the French Open after a large piece of metal paneling fell from the court's giant TV screen into the crowd.

According to the Associated Press, Open officials say three people were injured by the falling metal that detached in strong winds and crashed onto spectators below.

The incident occurred during a quarterfinal match between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France and Kei Nishikori of Japan. Play was delayed almost half-hour before it resumed.
