Belmont 2016: Post position draw time, how to watch online, morning line odds image

The 2016 Belmont Stakes is lacking a Triple Crown contender, but not racing intrigue. Wednesday's post position draw will determine the field for the Belmont and eventually help set the morning line odds from the track.

The Belmont post position draw will begin at 11 a.m. ET from Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y., with doors opening for attendance a half hour earlier. American Pharoah started from post No. 5 in the 8-horse field last year en route to a dominating performance and the first Triple Crown in nearly four decades. He opened at odds of 3-to-5, which will be a steeper price than presumed favorite Exaggerator will get following the 2016 post position draw.

Nyquist, who won the Kentucky Derby but lost his first career race in the Preakness, will not run in the Belmont due to a fever and high white blood cell count. Exaggerator defeated him for the first time at Pimlico two weeks ago. The 2016 Belmont will be run on Saturday with the post time set for 6:32 p.m. ET.

What time is the 2016 Belmont post position draw?

The Belmont Stakes post position draw will begin at 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday, June 8.
