Chris Kimbrough, a 44-year-old mother of six, smashed the women's beer mile world record by 13 seconds on Sunday. Her time of 6:28.6 broke the 17-year-old record of 6:42.0 set by Seanna Robinson in 1997.

Originally something for college guys to do for fun, the beer mile has become wildly popular (imagine that) and the first Beer Mile World Championships will be held in Austin, Texas on Dec. 3. Kimbrough plans to compete.

Kimbrough said she felt "great" after the race, and told Runner's World “over the next 10 minutes, my friend said I was very funny. I definitely needed to go walk around for a while.”

That's a lot of beer in six minutes.
