Will Ronda Rousey fight in 2016? Dana White says that's up to her image

Ronda Rousey may not be a UFC champion any more, but she’s still a big money maker for the mixed-martial arts company.

UFC president Dana White said he’s hopeful his leading lady can return this year, but he isn’t sure.

"I hope that's not the case. I would really like her to fight this year. I hope she does," White said Wednesday on "The Dan Patrick Show". "That's up to Ronda. Ronda's going to come out and let us know when she's ready to fight again."

The former women’s bantamweight champ hasn’t fought since suffering the first loss of her career to Holly Holm in November. She was supposed to match up against Miesha Tate after Tate beat Holm, but Amanda Nunes will fight Tate instead.
