UFC 202 takes place Saturday night from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and lots of twists and turns have happened during the lead-up to the welterweight main event rematch between featherweight champion Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.
The first fight occurred at UFC 196 with Diaz taking the fight on 10 days' notice. McGregor won the first round and then Diaz went to work in the second. The Stockton, Calif., native started landing the heavier shots and knocked down McGregor, took his back and won by submission with a rear-naked choke.

The rematch was originally scheduled for UFC 200, but McGregor retired in April, unhappy with having to leave his training camp in Iceland to promote the event in the United States. McGregor later backed off the retirement talk, but the UFC had already pulled him from the card.
During the UFC 199 pay-per-view broadcast, the fight was announced for UFC 202.
The intensity picked up Wednesday when the Irishman showed up about 30 minutes late to the UFC 202 pre-fight news conference. Diaz, not one to take things lightly, abruptly got up and left the presser. He walked around with his fight team and started throwing water bottles at Team McGregor. "Notorious" felt like he had to defend himself, his team returned fire, and Dana White immediately stopped the presser.
