Jon Jones proclaimed his innocence Thursday morning regarding any use of banned or illegal substances and choked up while talking about how the situation has affected him.
"The whole situation really sucks," Jones said at a news conference in Las Vegas. "It really hurts a lot. Supposedly they found something in one of my samples that I have no clue what it is. I don't even know how to pronounce it. I have been taking the same supplements the majority of my career."

Jones was yanked Wednesday night from Saturday's UFC 200 headliner against Daniel Cormier when the organization was informed of his potential violation in a USADA drug test administered June 16.
"I want to apologize to Daniel Cormier," Jones said. "I know that this means a lot to him. The fight meant a lot to me, and the fight's not happening. I just really wanted to apologize to everyone sincerely. I really don't know what to say."
Jones reiterated how much he is against performance enhancing drugs and said he's "hurt" by being labeled as a cheater. However, he said he wasn't broken up and that he will return to the sport.
Another sample taken at the time, or a B sample, will be tested Thursday.
"I believe something good will come from this," Jones said through tears. "It's just hard to see it."
It's the third out of four times Jones and Cormier had been slated to match up and the event has fallen though.

The first time was UFC 178 when Jones had to back out because of a leg injury. The second time, Jones defeated Cormier with a unanimous decision at UFC 182. Jones was then stripped of his title after a 2015 hit-and-run incident, and Cormier took over the title. When Jones was reinstated several months ago, he and Cormier were supposed to fight in UFC 197, but Cormier had to pull out because of a shin injury.
"This is devastating for Daniel Cormier," UFC president Dana White said in a hastily called conference Wednesday night. "Not only mentally and physically, he just went through a camp, and financially, this pay-per-view is trending to be massive, and he shares in that revenue. He's devastated."
For now, Cormier has been left without an opponent, making the new headliner of UFC 200 Brock Lesner vs. Mark Hunt.
