Invicta FC fighter Samantha Diaz is preparing to make her professional debut Friday, but first she needed to make weight.

When she was weighed Thursday, she came in at 116.7 pounds, which was above the maximum weight allowed (115) for the strawweight class. She then stripped down, hoping that would make the difference, but was still above the limit at 116.2.

So then she had to get creative, and what she decided was to cut off her hair.

"I love my hair," she said in the video. "It took me years to grow it."

The strategy worked as she weighed in at 115.9, which is good enough. Now she's ready to fight at Invicta FC 20 against Miranda Maverick.
