Ryan Jimmo, a former UFC veteran with a 19-5 overall record in mixed martial arts, died Sunday in Edmonton in what police are investigating as a possible homicide. Jimmo was 34.
According to CBC, police say an altercation involving Jimmo led to a fatal hit-and-run. Witnesses reportedly told police the Canadian fighter approached a vehicle after a parking lot incident at an Edmonton lounge around 2:15 a.m. local time.

Jimmo was walking away from the vehicle when he was struck by a dark-colored pickup truck with two "Caucasian males" as occupants.

Police are still looking for the suspects.
Jimmo last fought in the UFC in May 2015. He was released from his contract shortly after losing to Francimar Barroso.
