Ronda Rousey ‘seems awfully pouty,’ Miesha Tate says image

When Ronda Rousey returns to the ring, she’ll likely face current bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, and with the trash talk starting this early, UFC fans will be in for a treat.

Appearing on “Conan” on Monday, Tate took a jab at Rousey’s mental fortitude since her UFC 193 loss to Holly Holm in UFC 193.

"She seems awfully pouty about the loss," Tate said of Rousey. "And it's like, we've all had losses, you know, either get up and get back on the horse and come back stronger for it, or you sit out for over a year."

After her loss, Rousey told "Ellen" she contemplated suicide after the lone loss of her UFC career and said in April she was “still grieving.”

Tate has fought Rousey twice in the past and lost. But after defeating Holly Holm for the bantamweight title in March, Tate (18-5) is brimming with confidence and said another meeting with Rousey (12-1) will be different if Rousey can't overcome the mental toll she's taken.

"I'm at the best point of my career, and she's at the worst," Tate said. "I've been defeated before, but I've come back stronger for it. I question whether she will be able to do the same."

However, before Tate concerns herself with a third Rousey showdown, she must first fight Amanda Nunes (12-4) in UFC 200 on July 9.
