On January 18, fans of AEW Dynamite were ready to watch a re-run of Young Sheldon when, instead, a slap fighting show was on after. It will be more of the same tonight, January 25, when the Power Slap League returns to action.
The second episode of Dana White’s Power Slap League will be inside the UFC’s APEX Center in Las Vegas.
Episode one of the Power Slap League showcased the top talent competing on the show. The second episode, titled "Slap-Off Elimination Day," will look to continue the trend of choosing who will move on to the next round of the competition.
The debut episode of the Power Slap League was delayed after a video was released of Dana White and Anne, his wife, getting into a physical altercation with one another on New Year’s Eve. White was talking to what looked like a distressed Anne. He grabbed her wrists, she slapped him in the face, and then White slapped her back. An argument between them continued while others attempted to resolve the situation.

There was a push for the series to be nixed, and there were mixed results to the first episode. The Power Slap League brought in fewer than 300,000 viewers and scored a 0.10 in the 18-49 demographic, per The Wrestling Observer. Chairman and Chief Content Office for Warner Bros Discovery U.S Networks Kathleen Finch recently discussed the future of the Power Slap League.
"This is an experiment,” Finch told Deadline. “The goal is, we are making shows for our fans, that’s who we work for. Fans of wrestling have a lot of overlap with the fans of this and it’s huge on social media so the idea really is, if we can take something that’s huge on social, bring it to a linear audience giving the fans what they want.”
