ONE Fight Night 24 results: Jarred Brooks wins interim gold with Round 1 submission image

ONE Championship returned to action this weekend with ONE Fight Night 24 at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The night was capped off by a spectacular performance from Jarred Brooks which earned him the interim ONE strawweight (125 pounds) championship.

Brooks (21-3) accepted the fight against Balart (12-5) despite Balart missing weight for the bout. Because the Cuban strawweight missed weight for the bout, he was ineligible to win gold.

In the end, it did matter, as "The Monkey God" claimed gold with a first-round submission win.

Balart tapped to the rear-naked choke at 4:39 in Round 1.

This is Brooks' second time with ONE Championship gold around his waist.

Brooks previously held the ONE strawweight title before losing the belt to Joshua Pacio earlier this year via disqualification due to an illegal slam.

Following his win at ONE Fight Night 24, Brooks called for a rematch with Pacio or a fight against 125-pound GOAT Demetrius Johnson.

A look at the full ONE Fight Night 24 results can be seen below.
