Behold the drawing power of Conor McGregor: Former President Donald Trump will be one of the faces in the crowd for McGregor's fight vs. Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

And his face will be front and center at T-Mobile Arena, says UFC president Dana White.

HALE: The 'old' McGregor is back, but what does that mean?

White told TMZ that Trump will be sitting with him Octagon-side. Trump's polarizing nature would seem to dictate that he stay out of the fray. White knows better.

"He don't care," White said of his longtime friend. "He's not that guy. He's not hiding in a box somewhere."

(A Secret Service detail will help ease concerns about Trump mingling with the public, of course.)

Trump was not on the field during play when he attended such major sporting events as the 2019 World Series in Washington and college football national championship games in Atlanta and New Orleans while president.

But he was on the floor for the last UFC event he attended: UFC 244 at New York's Madison Square Garden in November 2019.

Trump received a rousing postfight endorsement from Derrick Lewis that night.

"He and I have been friends for over 20 years," White said Friday of Trump. "And he's a huge fight fan, not just UFC. He's a fight fan. He likes fighting like I like fighting."

And Trump will get to see McGregor and Poirier up close as they fight each other for the third time.
