Daniel Cormier was all set to finally fight Jon Jones. Then he learned the devastating truth.
After losing to Jones at UFC 182, Cormier seemed destined for a rematch against his biggest foe. But Cormier captured the light heavyweight championship without a fight after Jones relinquished the title following a hit-and-run incident. When Cormier and Jones were ready to meet in The Octagon at UFC 197, Cormier was forced to bow out after suffering a shin injury.

All of that was in the past, though. Main event time at UFC 200 was coming Saturday. Cormier and Jones could finally let the punches fly.
Enter Dana White. The UFC president had to sit down with Cormier Wednesday night to inform him Jones tested positive for a banned substance reported by the USADA. Just like that, the fight was off. Cormier's reaction is tough to watch.
(NOTE: The video below includes strong language. White's conversation with Cormier begins around the 4:10 mark.)
Jones has since apologized to Cormier, saying "I know that this means a lot to him." The positive test could result in a two-year suspension for Jones.
UFC announced Thursday night Anderson Silva will take Jones' place at UFC 200. It does salvage Cormier's night a bit, but it's still brutal to see Cormier's dream fight once again taken off the card due to something out of his control.
