It won't be long before Conor McGregor gets a shot to avenge his UFC 196 loss to Nate Diaz.

The fighters, their handlers and UFC are close to a rematch agreement for July 9's UFC 200 in Las Vegas, MMAFighting.com reported.

Diaz (19-10) handed McGregor (19-3, 7-1 UFC) his first UFC loss earlier this month. Diaz had just 11 days to prepare for the fight after McGregor's original opponent, Rafael dos Anjos, dropped out with a foot injury.

Other fights expected for UFC 200 include a heavyweight bout between Cain Velasquez and Travis Browne and a middleweight fight featuring Gegard Mousasi and Derek Brunson.

Women's bantamweight champ Miesha Tate could also be placed on the card, though it's unknown if she would face Holly Holm in a rematch of their UFC 196 title bout or Ronda Rousey for a third time in what would be an expedited return to the ring for Rousey.

UFC 200 will be staged at the new T-Mobile Arena.
