Conor McGregor's return to the Octagon lasted all of 1 1/2 rounds Saturday night/Sunday morning on Fight Island. The former two-division UFC champion ate a collection of kicks and strikes from Dustin Poirier in a TKO loss.

Rather than launching himself back into title contention or burnishing his legacy, he was floundering on the canvas, dazed and injured after a brutal loss.

And while one has to admire any fighter for getting into the cage or ring, that doesn't mean social media will cut them any slack when they get cut down the way McGregor did.

In other words, Twitter — including a guy named Logan Paul — had a lot of fun watching the Irishman get flattened in his rematch with Poirier:
