The Argentine winger scored the first goal in the MLS expansion club's history Sunday, steering home a cross from Tyrone Mears in the 25th minute of Atlanta United's opener against the New York Red Bulls.

Gerardo Martino's side kicked off in front of a sell-out crowd of 55,297 at Bobby Dodd Stadium, with more than 33,000 of those fans season ticket holders.
But just when it seemed Atlanta was cruising to a debut victory, the Red Bulls played spoiler. After drawing level on a 76th-minute header from Daniel Royer, New York bagged the winner when Bradley Wright-Phillips forced an own goal from substitute Anton Walkes with eight minutes remaining.
