The Western Conference leading LA Galaxy travel to struggling Seattle Sounders in this week's marquee MLS matchup.
Hosted at Lumen Field in Seattle on Sunday, May 5, the Sounders look to build on their win mid-week at Philadelphia as they look to start their ascent up the table. But they'll have to bring their A game against the Galaxy, who has talent and speed to burn on the wings.
The Galaxy were shocked last week at Austin FC in a 2-0 defeat. The Galaxy gave up both goals inside the first 20 minutes of the match, and they never found a way to break down the Austin defense, despite 60 percent possession and five shots on target.
Facing an old Western Conference playoff foe, the Galaxy will look to swing momentum back their way with a win in the Pacific Northwest.
The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch it worldwide, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Seattle vs LA Galaxy lineups, team news
The Sounders will be missing their key veteran leader Stefan Frei due to a red card suspension, and right-back Alex Roldan will be out as well. It adds to the challenging questions ahead for coach Brian Schmetzer, who has a ton of players out, including Pedro de la Vega.
Seattle predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Thomas (GK) — Vargas, Gomez, Bell, Baker — Atencio, Paulo — Morris, Rusnak, Chu — Ruidiaz.
Seattle subs: TBC
The Galaxy will be without two key players for this match. Forward Dejan Joveljic remains out with an injury while midfielder Riqui Puig will miss the match due to yellow card accumulation. That could give a chance for Miguel Berry to start again or have Diego Fagundez play as a false nine, as well as see Edwin Cerrillo come into midfield.
LA Galaxy predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left): McCarthy (GK) — Yamane, Yoshida, Caceres, Aude — Delgado, Brugman, Cerrillo — Pec, Berry, Paintsil.
LA Galaxy subs: TBC
Seattle vs LA Galaxy prediction
After scoring three goals in Philadelphia in mid-week, the Sounders are due for a breakout performance at home. The Sounders can be considered unlucky, with a higher xG than goals scored, and this could be an end to end matchup. In the end, both teams can score goals and we predict a stalemate.
Prediction: Seattle 2-2 LA Galaxy
